The History
of Sa Punta
Sa Punta with more than 40 years is a symbol and pioneer of the area of Empordá.
Sa Punta opened its doors in 1976 as a restaurant and as a hotel in 1991. Always with Jaume and Josep Font as owners. A must for relax, cuisine and sea lovers.


Restaurant
In 1976 the Restaurante Sa Punta opened its doors. The restaurant is characterized by its grand gastronomical innovation based on the French experience and use of innovative products. Many of these originate from France which we have combined with our local and market cuisine like the fish from our coast and vegetables from our garden.
From 1983 to 1992, we were awarded with a a Michelin star.

Hotel
In 1985, as owners of the complex, we were the pioneers in the beach area of Pals and of playa del Racó in Begur with the construction of a cosy four-star hotel with 32 rooms and 2 suites, including all the amenities that opened its doors in 1991.

Renovation
In 2002, the restaurant underwent renovations. The kitchen and dining room were completely changed, providing a spacious and magnificent room by the gardens and pool.

Rooms
Due to the new facilities and the restoration of the ground floor, we were able to expand with 6 new rooms, located on the first floor, overlooking the garden and the sea. With this renovation the hotel now had 34 rooms.

Suites
In 2004, 2 new suites were built with independent terraces and the seawater swimming pool was completely renovated and two magnificent jacuzzis were installed inside.

Covered terrace
In 2006, renovations were done in the restaurant area by building a covered terrace with a capacity for 180 guests.

Chill out
In 2012, the new area chill out was designed and built -an outdoor and covered area designed with relaxation in mind where you can enjoy tasty afternoon snacks or sophisticated cocktails at night.
